I really like this post.

I agree 100%. Julien wrote a few (5?) tips on how to get a book deal and one of point was to have a following. Once you have a lot of people listening to you, the book deals come easier. It is not about the content, it is about the free exposure the book already has before it is even produced.

Social media gives that power to the people. I think that sometimes, we are so used to Facebook in our lives that we don't realize the amazing reach we have compared to only 5 years ago.

Why build a church alone when you can build a congregation that will help you build the church with you?

I love Gary Vaynerchuk. He is probably the only one that I will read/watch all of his blog post/vlogs. Yet I never really cared for his book (I don't like books).

But now, there is this chick from Montreal, Tammy Emma Pepin, that is doing all these tricks to get him to come to Montreal and you know what? In the process, I got interested in buying the damn book and I am cheering for her because I want to meet Gary as well.

Congregation before the church. You are absolutely right!
