e-Depression

For your Monday viewing pleasure, here’s a video about what would happen if the entire internet crashed. The second half deals with specific effects, and that got me thinking: if it was possible for the internet to crash, and it did, the economic repercussions would be cataclysmic.

Seriously, think about it: between the amount of commerce, information exchange, and media production that depends on the internet, a global crash would send more than just one stock market into a tail spin. It would make the economic fall-out of 9/11 look like a mere bout of stagnancy.
